About Artscope

Artscope is a community arts group based in the historic city of Lincoln. Formed in 2003, we have developed a series of projects that have provided creative opportunities in various arts forms. We have worked with some of the most disadvantaged communities and our aim is to encourage sustainability in the projects we start. We have a commitment to artistic excellence and it is a priority to enable artists to develop their own individual practice.

What we do

We offer workshops in a variety of art & music forms such as: Felt making, painting, ART SKOOL workshops - imaginative and creative art projects, music workshops in: Gamelan (Indonesian community music), Guitar, Violin, Indian percussion, Chinese Erhu, Early Music, Folk music, Djembe Drumming.

Working Hours

We work freelance in schools, community centres, with Sure Start, youth clubs, adults with disabilities and mental health departments.

What we cost

Workshops vary in cost depending on the individual musician/artist. Prices can range from £30 for an hour long workshop to £175 for a full day workshop.

Where we operate

Artscope operates in Lincolnshire, but we are able to work further afield if paid travel expenses.

Current projects have been funded by Arts Council England, Youth Music, Lincolnshire County Council. Our most recent project 'TEN' has been approved by London 2012 to feature on the Inspire programme, East Midlands.
