About The District Herbalist

Hannah Sylvester is a fully qualified and registered Western Medical Herbalist, offering health support via in-home (home-visit) herbal medicine consultations and bespoke, individually-tailored western herbal medicine prescriptions in Lincoln and the surrounding villages. Hannah also holds a clinic at the Ch'ien Clinic on South Park in Lincoln on Monday afternoons and Wednesday mornings.

What we do

Having completed three years of in-depth training at the University of Lincoln, Hannah qualified with a BSc (Hons) Herbal Medicine degree and subsequently became a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the oldest organisation in the U.K. (founded in 1864) representing medical herbalists. As a medical herbalist, Hannah takes a full and detailed consultation with each patient, usually lasting 1-1.5 hours, where a full health and family health history is taken, your blood pressure and pulse will be taken, and this gives each patient the chance to talk fully and openly about any health issues that they may be experiencing. At the consultation, dietary and lifestyle advice may also be offered. Hannah will then create and make a bespoke, and individually-tailored herbal medicine prescription, which is then posted out to you, or collected from her at the clinic. Follow-up appointments then take place at 2-4 week intervals to check and monitor your health progress.
