About Bridge Farm Links

The project is run by Bridge Farm Links (a Social Enterprise) and is located at Bridge Farm, in the little hamlet of Snitterby Carr. The farm is situated on the banks of the River Ancholme so is a tranquil and peaceful environment.

What we do

Project Aims To 'link farm and community' and increase community cohesion To introduce ideas about healthy eating, local food and to show where food comes from. To create a positive self image in participants by getting them trying new things To increase self-confidence and gently challenge existing comfort zones What do participants get up to? Participants receive training/work experience in the following Growing vegetables organically from seed to harvesting Simple joinery skills Small building jobs and repairs Use of simple Maths and English Maintaining/enhancing habitats for wildlife (environmental education) The work is undertaken at a pace that is both unstressful and is measured to suit the needs of the people involved.

Working Hours

9:30-3pm However, we can be flexible with the duration of time people would like to spend at the farm.
