About Workers' Educational Association

The Workers' Educational Association (WEA) is the UK's largest voluntary provider of adult education. Ever since it was founded in 1903, in order to support the educational needs of working men and women, the WEA has maintained its commitment to provide access to education and learning for adults from all backgrounds, and in particular those who have previously missed out on education.

What we do

Adult education courses on a wide range of subjects, in community venues around the country. Open to all. No qualifications needed. We do our best to take education to where it is needed, amongst the local community, rather than expecting people to come to us. So WEA courses can be set up almost anywhere - for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools, pubs or where people work.
