About CallConnect Service
Lincolnshire County Council's ground-breaking Dial a Bus service - Call Connect - was launched in Horncastle in 2001. Since then it has gone from strength to strength with services now provided by operators on a wide range of different routes throughout Lincolnshire. CallConnect offers a vital link for people who might otherwise be isolated in the county's villages and rural areas.
What we do
CallConnect is a unique bus service that operates in response to pre-booked requests. The service will pick up and set down at designated locations in each village or town. Operating in rural areas CallConnect is part of the county InterConnect bus network. For customers who are unable to walk to the designated pick up point due to a disability, a mobility problem or live in remote, isolated areas we have introduced the CallConnect scheme. This allows customers, on completion of an application form, to request a home pick up or drop off. The application forms and details of operating areas can be obtained by calling the Booking Centre.
Working Hours
You can also submit journey requests on-line via the web site www.lincsinterconnect.com 24 hours a day and 7 days per week. Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis. Our CallConnect Service doesn't operate from Lincoln or Boston these are separate and operate with different charges and membership criteria.
Where we operate
Registration takes a few minutes and you will be given a membership number. Once registered you can request your journey up to seven days in advance and for same day requests please allow at least two hours notice. CallConnect buses are fully accessible with low floor steps, a tail-lift and can also accommodate one fixed wheelchair. All wheelchairs must be approved by CallConnect and meet safety standards they must also be compatible with the webbing system fitted on all buses.
